How a deposit match actually pays out
A deposit match bonus adds a percentage of your deposit as bonus credit, up to a stated cap. "100% up to RM 800" means the operator matches your deposit dollar-for-dollar until the bonus itself hits RM 800 — deposit more than that and the match simply stops applying to the excess.
This is where the headline percentage becomes misleading on its own. A 200% match capped at RM 300 tops out at RM 300 in bonus credit no matter how much more you deposit, while a 100% match capped at RM 1,000 can still deliver a larger bonus in absolute terms once your deposit passes RM 300. The percentage tells you the rate; the cap tells you the ceiling — you need both to know what an offer is actually worth at your deposit size.
The two wagering bases: bonus-only vs deposit-plus-bonus
The other variable that swings real value far more than the match percentage is whether wagering applies to the bonus alone or to your deposit plus the bonus combined. Deposit RM 200 and receive a 100% match (RM 200 bonus) at 25x bonus-only wagering, and you owe RM 200 × 25 = RM 5,000 in turnover. Apply that same 25x to deposit-plus-bonus instead, and the target becomes (RM 200 + RM 200) × 25 = RM 10,000 — double the turnover for an identical match rate and multiplier, just because of which basis the operator uses.
