Cashback vs reload: two different mechanics
A welcome bonus is a one-time offer for a first deposit. Cashback and reload bonuses are what most operators run afterward, for players who keep depositing — and the two work differently from each other, not just from the welcome offer.
Cashback refunds a percentage of your net losses over a set period, usually weekly, as bonus credit — typically 5% to 15% among Malaysia-facing operators, almost always capped at a fixed ringgit ceiling regardless of how much you actually lost. It's calculated on net losses (losses minus wins), not total turnover, so a break-even week returns nothing.

A worked cashback example
Say an operator offers 10% weekly cashback capped at RM 200, and you finish the week down RM 800 net. Cashback due is 10% × RM 800 = RM 80, well under the RM 200 cap, paid as bonus credit. Lose RM 3,000 in a heavier week and the 10% calculation would suggest RM 300 — but the RM 200 cap limits the actual payout, which is why the cap matters as much as the percentage, exactly as it does with a deposit match. Cashback wagering requirements are typically lower than welcome-bonus wagering — often 1x to 5x — since the credit is a partial refund rather than free money, but always confirm the multiplier on the specific promotion rather than assuming it matches the welcome offer's terms.
